Family Tent Activities at the 2010 Southwest Michigan Harvest Fest

Come and join in! There will be lots of hands-on activities, crafts, and active games for families.
Family Tent activities are funded in part with a Good Neighbor Grant from the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.

19th Century Home Crafts
Noon to 4 PM
Try your hand at practical skills that boys and girls learned growing up.

Nature Goes Wild at the Farm
Noon to 5 PM
Plenty of non-domestic animals are found around Michigan farms — find out more.

Face Painting
Noon to 2 PM and 2:45 to 4:30 PM
Get your face painted to celebrate Harvest Fest.

Feed the Birds
Noon to 5 PM
Make a tasty pinecone bird feeder and decorate a bag to take it home.

Create a beautiful nature scene with wax-resist and watercolor; then frame it!

Use blacksmiths' skills (but no fire) to create a decorative hook from clay.
