This year's Harvest Fest brings together some of southwest Michigan's most talented and entertaining musicians, as well as local farmers and the rest of our community, for a day of celebration!

- Southwest Michigan's own claim to fame, Greensky Bluegrass won the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition and has been touring widely and frequently ever since. This exciting group creates original songs and soundscapes that are unique and new, yet somehow feel comfortable and familiar.

- Arcadia Way is Kathy Nichols, daughter Sara Nichols, Dave Lytle, Jeff Lurges and M-M.K. Asenbauer. These five talented musicians together play a variety of acoustic instruments — ever heard of a banjitar? The band also harmonizes their way through folk, country, and bluegrass songs. Musical heroes include Bill Monroe and the Carter Family.

- Lee LaVanway hails from Eau Claire and has been writing folk songs, playing music, and singing for nigh on 48 years. Lately his tunes take a poke at the U.S. industrialized food system while they praise the benefits of local food systems for the community and individuals. By day, he's Market Master for the Benton Harbor Fruit Market.

- Enjoy a lively performance of traditional Irish jigs, reels, hornpipes and all manner of toe-tapping tunes and songs from Whiskey Before Breakfast. Dave Marlatt plays the fiddle and Jeff Sarnacki the guitar; Cara Lieurance provides flute, whistles and shares vocal duties with Tim McCauley, who also thrums the boudhran. Dancing is permitted.

- K'zoo Folklife Organization

- Members of K'zoo Folklife Organization will entertain you in a day-long jam session with a wonderful mix of instruments and tunes, from folk to bluegrass to Celtic. KFO is a non-profit organization that promotes the presentation and preservation of multicultural, traditional and contemporary folk music, dance and the arts for education and enrichment. The group offers concerts, events and more.
