Banjo music and fresh produce from Eaters' Guild at the 2006 Harvest Fest

2007 Southwest Michigan Harvest Fest

The 2007 Harvest Fest was a roaring success! We had nearly 1500 participants, vendors, volunteers, and guests! The exhibitor tent was jammed to overflowing, the music and food were fantastic and the speakers were wonderful.

Mark you calendar! The date for the 2008 Southwest Michigan Harvest Fest is September 21, 2008. Same place and time as this year. Stay tuned for information as next year's festival planning continues.

Be Part of the Fest

What's On the Program?

Nationally recognized speakers Alisa Smith and J.B. MacKinnon, authors of Plenty: One Man, One Woman, and a Raucous Year of Eating Locally (a.k.a. The 100-Mile Diet) will kick off the week-long "Eat Local, Kalamazoo!" series of events (see eatlocalkalamazoo.org). Plus we have other great presenters, music & dance, growers & vendors, and fun activities for the whole family!

Check out fresh locally-grown produce and connect with sustainable, ecologically sound resources in our community. This year's list of exhibitors includes Brickyard Farms, Manitou Arbor Ecovillage, Great Harvest Bread Company, The Rug Lady, Lake Village Homestead, and more.

This year's terrific entertainment lineup includes Joe Reilly, Dunuya Drum & Dance, and Cosmic Sojourner, plus the student fiddlers of Crescendo Academy.
