This year's Community Harvest Fest will bring together a wide variety of
some of southwest Michigan's most talented and entertaining musicians, as
well as local farmers and the rest of our community, for a day of simple
fellowship and celebration!
- 11:30-12:10 pm---Mechele Peters, John Campos, and Bill Jones: Original acoustic Americana singer/songwriters
- 12:20-1:00 pm----Ian Gorman & Rachel Flanigan, and Mark Duval: Acoustic multi-instrumental singer songwriters
- 1:10- 1:50 pm----Hoodie Crow: Traditional Irish folk music
- 2:00-2:40 pm-----Jay Gavan & Nathan Durham: Eclectic, original multi-instrumental singer/songwriters.
- 2:50-3:30 pm-----The Kalamazoo Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra: Orchestral music of centuries past arranged for mandolin.
- 3:30-3:40 pm-----Rapper Sword Dance Demo: An historical English dance performed by the five-member team "Look Smart" doing maneuvers while stepping to a swift jig.
- 3:50-4:30 pm-----The Cornfed Girls: Contemporary folk music, soon kicking off their first European tour.
- 4:40-5:20 pm-----The Thornapple Valley Hammered Dulcimer Society:
Old-time favorite traditional tunes.
- 5:30-6:30 pm-----Contra Dancing: A country community dance that'll put a smile on your face! Featuring caller Danika Murray, who will teach and lead the dance, and music by
the Brook Farm String Band
